Capability statement.
What we deliver, how we work and the standards we hold ourselves to.
Geoceanic Energies is a survey-led marine and subsea services company. We survey and map the seabed, turn raw data into decisions, support subsea work, represent project owners, advise on assets, and run an Equipment Exchange that puts the right equipment, vessels and qualified people on the job.
Survey & Geoscience
The ground truth under every offshore decision: terrain, hazards and soils, measured to the accuracy your design needs.
- Bathymetric
- Geophysical
- Hydrographic
- Geotechnical
- Positioning
- Pipeline and cable
- Construction support
Data, Charting & Reporting
Whoever collected it, we turn raw acquisition into charts, registers and reports that make the next decision obvious.
- Data processors (DP): MBES bathymetry and backscatter, side-scan mosaics, ROV and positioning data QC and corrections
- Geophysicists: interpretation of sub-bottom, UHR seismic, magnetometer and side-scan data into hazards, buried assets and shallow geology
- Charting: hydrographic, pipeline route and as-built charts, with GIS and 3D visualisation
- Survey, inspection and project report writing
- Independent QC and re-processing of third-party datasets
Subsea & ROV Support
Installation, protection, inspection and integrity support for subsea assets, from SSIVs, jumpers and flying leads to mattresses, trenching, jackets and cathodic protection, with findings reported while the vessel is still on site.
- SSIV, manifold, PLET and PLEM installation and tie-in support
- Rigid and flexible jumper and spool installation, with metrology and as-built
- EFL and HFL installation, testing and tie-in support
- Jacket and platform installation support: positioning, pile and leg monitoring, as-built
- Protection and stabilisation: concrete mattresses, crossings and bridges, grout bags, rock placement and free-span rectification
- Trenching and burial: survey, tracking and depth-of-cover verification
- Tie-ins, flange make-up and pre-commissioning witnessing
- Cathodic protection (CP) surveys: anode and potential readings, retrofit support
- ROV inspection and intervention support: GVI, CVI, marine growth and debris clearance
- Pre-lay, as-laid and post-lay verification
- Subsea construction consultancy

How we deliver.
One accountable team from the first desktop study to the final deliverable.
How we contract.
One agreement
Geoceanic contracts with you for the scope it proposes: one agreement, one invoice, one point of contact.
Who does what
Each proposal names the accountable lead, the work we deliver ourselves, and anything supplied by a vetted partner or an Exchange owner, so you know who is on the job and under whose procedures.
Interests disclosed
Where we supply equipment, vessels, personnel or survey work, we say so in writing before we act as your representative or evaluate bids, and we never verify our own work.
Equipment and people
Arranged under Geoceanic's agreement. The owner remains responsible for the condition, certification and title of what it supplies unless the written agreement says otherwise, and we check certification, calibration records and credentials before mobilisation.
Vessels and permits
Vessels are sourced to the host country's rules. In Nigeria that means compliant vessels first, with any cabotage waiver identified and costed in the proposal before mobilisation.
Terms
Insurance, liability and commercial terms are set out in each proposal and contract.
Quality, health, safety and environment.
- A risk assessment and project HSE plan before every mobilisation
- Permit-to-work and stop-work authority offshore
- Calibration and verification records for every instrument
- Multi-stage QA/QC from acquisition to deliverable
- Client data handled in confidence, with secure transfer and retention
